Paul’s Two Prayers At the start of Colossians, Paul prays two prayers for the believers.

The Gospel: Our Rescue & Our Hope - The gospel is more than good advice. It is good news — life-changing truth.

Paul writes that Christ is the image of the invisible God. In Him, we see what it truly means to bear God’s image.

Even though Paul was under house arrest that didn’t stop him from writing a letter to the believers in Colossae.

Paul’s Joy in Suffering As Paul wrote this letter, he was under Roman house arrest. Yet, unbelievably, he says: “I rejoice.”

What’s Worth Fighting For? In Colossians 2, Paul talks about how he's contending — struggling, striving, even suffering — for the church. Even though he's stuck in prison, he believes every bit of effort is worth it.

Warnings That Protect Paul gives one to the believers in Colossae: “Don’t be deceived.” This was their warning light.

Why Roots Matter Paul warns about this in Colossians 2, asserting the importance of being firmly rooted in the gospel — the unshakable truth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Christ: Fully God and Fully Man Paul tells us that Christ is “the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). The word for image (eikon) means the perfect expression.

Marked by Christ Paul tells the Colossians that with Christ, we have a different kind of mark — one that is powerful.

A matter of death & life- What does that mean?

Connected to Christ - When believers cling to Christ, they are knit together in love and increased by God. When people disconnect from Him, they lose life and fall into error.

Christ alone is enough - Remember:👉 We are complete in Christ.👉 We need no add‑ons.

Kingdom of Hearts Paul says that something really amazing happens when we commit our lives to Christ. We become one with Him forever, kind of like two people becoming one. This means we need to totally change how we think and live.

Paul told us to set our hearts on things above. Today, he tells us what that means in practice. We cannot live for Christ and still cling to our old sinful and selfish ways.

Being “in Christ” means our lives belong to Him. We are hidden in Him. Our eternity is secure in Him. We are fully renewed by Him. Let that sink in!

Clothing Yourself in Christ - In this passage, Paul reminds us of our true identity: chosen, holy, and dearly loved by God. And because of who we are in Christ, our lives will reflect His character.

Living with Thankful Hearts - Paul passionately encourages us: “Be thankful!” Gratitude isn't just a nice extra—it's the very core of a life rooted in Christ!

Colossians 3:18-19 Paul takes time here to describe what a Christ-centered family looks like. Not perfect, but ordered in a way that honors Christ.
