Leave It in God's Hands

I’ve had nights when the pain felt too heavy—waiting for answers that never seemed to come, crying out and hearing only silence.
I’d try harder, pray louder, fix it myself... until I wore out.
Then the Lord whispered, “Child, leave it with Me. I see every tear.”
I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. (Psalms 63:8 NIV)
If you're carrying burdens today—sickness, heartbreak, long waits God hears your quiet cries, and His hands are safer than ours.
Like a Car Running on the Wrong Fuel
C. S. Lewis said one time, "God made us to run on Him—like a car needs the right gas."
Try anything else (money, people, our own strength), and we sputter, break down, never find real peace.
When pain hits and answers delay, we panic: "Fix it now!"
But God? He waits—because rushing us isn't always kind.
Why the Wait Feels So Long
Delays aren't denials. Often what's coming is better.
Think Joseph—betrayed, enslaved, forgotten in prison. Felt like God vanished.
But years later: "You meant evil... but God meant it for good" (Genesis 50:20).
Or Jesus with Lazarus—delayed on purpose, then raised him to show greater glory.
God's timing? Perfect. Higher thoughts than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Simple Ways to Wait Well
Remember: No means something better's coming.
Let hard times build patience—and hope that doesn't disappoint (Romans 5:3-5).
Trust His schedule (Abraham waited till old age—Isaac arrived right on time).
Trade worry for prayer—peace guards your heart (Philippians 4:6-7).
Rest in His control—His plans stand forever (Proverbs 19:21).
He sees. He hears. He's working behind the scenes.
No More Carrying Alone
Your pain isn't wasted. God turns it for good when we love Him (Romans 8:28).
Leave it in His hands today.
Prayer
Father,
We've carried these burdens too long—trying to fix what only You can.
Forgive our rushing and doubting.
Thank You for seeing every tear, hearing every cry, working even in the silence.
Help us leave it all in Your strong hands.
May Christ's patience grow in the wait, peace in the storm.
We trust Your perfect timing—and Your loving heart.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
