Jesus Says It’s to Our Advantage
In John 16:7, Jesus tells us something surprising: “It’s better for you that I go away, so the Helper can come.”
That sounds upside down, doesn’t it? But Jesus knows best. If He didn’t go back to the Father, the Spirit wouldn’t come.
But since He does go, the Father and Son send the Holy Spirit to be with us.
The Spirit Changes Everything
Remember the book of Acts? The moment the Holy Spirit arrived, everything changed for the disciples.
Suddenly, they understood Jesus’ work in new ways—they were bold, knowledgeable, and ready to share the good news.
Peter even quoted the prophet Joel right on the spot! The Holy Spirit gave them immediate light, courage, and authority.
The Spirit is Still with You
Jesus went to heaven, but the Holy Spirit stayed. He wants the same for you—power to live godly, to speak boldly, and to walk with confidence in Jesus every day.
Reflect
Don’t put limits on what the Holy Spirit can do through you. Instead, thank Him and praise Him for His amazing power at work in your life right now.
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, You do far more than I can imagine through Your power in me. Give me boldness to share my faith and open my eyes to understand Your Word better. To You be all the glory, now and forever. Amen.
