Jesus Promises a Forever Helper
In John 14, Jesus tells His disciples about the Holy Spirit’s role. He says, “I’ll ask the Father, and He’ll send you another Helper”—someone to be with us forever. Imagine that!
Jesus was only physically with His disciples for a short time, but now, in His place, the Holy Spirit is here—and He’s not leaving anytime soon.
It’s Actually Better This Way
Jesus goes on to say in John 16:7, “It’s better for you that I go away so the Helper can come.” Crazy, isn’t it?
Many people wish they could have seen Jesus in person, walked with Him, heard His voice firsthand.
But Jesus says, “No, it’s even better now because the Holy Spirit is here with you—right where you are.”
The Holy Spirit Is With You Now
Here’s where the real-life encouragement comes in: The Holy Spirit isn’t just a distant figure from Bible times. He’s with you right now, every moment. Not just for a little while, but forever.
Reflect
Knowing the Holy Spirit is with you now, how does that change your day? Your worries? Your hopes? Maybe today, try to really feel His presence with you.
A Prayer for Today
Lord Jesus, I often forget that the Holy Spirit is with me—not just in stories but right now, every moment. Thank You for sending Him to be my forever Helper. I pray for all my brothers and sisters in Christ that we all grow close to Him and live for Your glory. Amen.
