Day 1: The Key to Living Victoriously

Knowing What’s Coming Helps You Respond

Don’t be caught off guard by the craziness in the news or the world around you.

Paul gave Timothy a heads-up in 2 Timothy 3:1: “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.” It’s like God gave us a spoiler alert for life’s biggest reality show.

Knowing the signs helps you decide how to react—no surprises here.

Self-Love Is the Root of the Mess

Paul points out something interesting: a lot of problems come from people loving themselves too much.

Think about it—self-love sneaks in and messes up marriages, families, churches, and even society. It’s the “What about me?” attitude that gets in the way of real love and peace.

Tough Days Will Come, But There’s Hope

Jesus talks about these hard times in Matthew 24—wars, famines, broken relationships, all kinds of trouble.

He calls them “birth pains” before God’s kingdom arrives. Birth isn’t fun, but it brings new life.

And right in the middle of it, Jesus says something powerful: “He who has endured to the end shall be saved.” Endurance is the game plan.

Don’t Let Fear Win

The kind of love that keeps you going isn’t just any love—it’s agape love, God’s own love poured into your heart through the Holy Spirit.

So, when the news scares you, remember Jesus’ encouragement: keep loving, keep trusting, and keep enduring. Fear doesn’t get the final say.

A Simple Prayer

Lord, You’re in control of everything—seen and unseen. I admit I sometimes put myself first. Help me turn that around and love You and others well. Give me Your Spirit’s strength to endure all the way through. Amen.
