The Father's Delight: He Loves You Like He Loves Jesus
A Word from Pastor Dick
I want to share something with you today that comes straight from the heart of C. Baxter Kruger—a truth that has meant so much to me over the years. It’s simply this: the Father’s love for you. Not just the idea of it, but the real, personal, never-ending love of God the Father.

The Circle That Was Always Meant to Include You
From all eternity, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have lived in perfect love together.
A circle of joy, giving, sharing, delighting in one another.
No loneliness.
No emptiness.
Just pure, endless love.
Then the Father looked at that circle and said,
“I don’t want to keep this love to Myself.
I want to share it.”
And He created us—not as servants or projects,
but as children to bring into the family circle.

Jesus Shows Us the Father’s Heart
I used to think Jesus came to calm down an angry God.
Like the Father was mad and Jesus stepped in to fix it.
But that’s not the story at all.
Jesus is the perfect picture of the Father.
When you see Jesus forgiving the woman caught in sin—that’s the Father.
When you see Jesus blessing little children—that’s the Father.
When you see Jesus on the cross praying, “Father, forgive them”—that’s the Father’s heart wide open.
The Father isn’t angry with you.
He’s aching for you.

The Love That Planned It All
Before the world was ever made,
The Father saw you in Jesus.
He said, “That one belongs to Me.”
When Adam fell, it didn’t catch the Father by surprise.
Jesus was always the plan.
The Father sent His Son—not to condemn you,
but to bring you home,
to adopt you,
to say, “You’re My child now.”
The Day This Truth Hit Me
I was reading John 17 one quiet morning—Jesus praying to His Father.
He says, “Father, You loved Me before the foundation of the world…
and I want them to know that You love them the same way.”
Same love.
Same delight.
Same forever.
I had to put my Bible down.
The Father loves me the way He loves Jesus.
Not less.
Exactly the same.
And He loves you that way too.
Living as a Loved Child Today
You don’t have to earn this love.
You can’t lose it.
It’s already yours because you’re in Jesus.
When you mess up, the Father doesn’t turn away—He runs toward you.
When you’re hurting, He’s holding you close.
When you do something good, He’s not impressed with your effort—He’s proud because you’re His.
A Simple Prayer
Father,
Thank You for loving me the same way You love Jesus.
Before I ever did anything right or wrong,
You chose me.
You wanted me.
Help me rest in that love today.
Let it change how I see myself and everyone around me.
I’m Yours,
and You’re mine—forever.
Amen.
