I Just Came To Talk With You Lord

Friends,
I have to tell you what happened today. I lay down for a nap, and I woke up with this old song running through me — "I Just Came to Talk With You Lord." And the tears came. Tears of joy. I just sat there sensing His presence, closer than my own breath.
It's an old song. Dottie Rambo wrote it back in 1968. But it found me today like it was written this morning, just for me.
Here's the thing it stirred up in me. So often we come to the Lord with our list — the asking, the needing, the fixing. But this song doesn't come to ask for anything. It just comes to be with Him. To talk. To thank Him for all the prayers He's answered that we forgot to thank Him for.
That's the heart of it, isn't it? He doesn't want our performance. He wants our company.
So before you press play, let me ask you to do what I did — set down your list for a minute.
Don't come to ask. Just come to talk with Him. Let Him love on you.
He's as close as your next breath.
Love, Cindy 🕊️
